As of this date, KATHREIN Digital Systems (KATHREIN DS), market leader for digital satellite, terrestrial, cable or IP signal reception and distribution, enables users of the company's free satellite planning tool to also design single-cable systems. As a result, in addition to the planned new installations and modifications of satellite reception systems for up to four satellites, it is now also possible to upgrade from cable TV to single-cable satellite systems.
In addition, the satellite planning tool receives further helpful functional enhancements, such as the possibility to individually name individual outlets, even in existing plans and at a later date. It is also possible to add additional amplifiers, to seal unused outputs of multi-switches with terminating resistors and to subsequently change terrestrial antennas and lightning protection in the level plan. Functional enhancements also include an optimised help system.
By means of the ELBRIDGE interface (V 1.0) used by KATHREIN DS, the products used in planning can be transferred directly from the planning tool to an online shop of the participating wholesalers at the push of a button. Among these wholesalers are FEGA & Schmitt Elektrogroßhandel GmbH, FEGIME Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, the H. Gautzsch Group, Emil Löffelhardt GmbH & Co. KG (in preparation), UNI ELEKTRO Fachgroßhandel GmbH & Co. KG and ZANDER-GRUPPE.
